Men's 55+ Nationals
Defending National Men’s 55+ Champs Mark Holtschneider of Baltimore and Rusty Wright of Pelham, NY came, saw and conquered for the second year in a row. Facing a game but hobbled Rob Edelstein and fellow Clevelander Dan McLaughlin, they took the final 6-3, 6-4. Edelstein and McLaughlin were surprise (at least on paper) finalists having defeated the #2 seeds Chicagoans APTA President Scott Bondurant and John Hough.
Tournament Chair Simon Peppiatt said he loved running this tournament because “everyone knows what to do and all enjoy the opportunity to play. It’s a great group to have here.”
