Peter Harvey and Marc Porter won a see-saw match against Mike Atkinson and Todd Tyson, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), to capture the Green Mountain Men’s Open. In the mixed tournament, Abigail Burke and Paul Wishnoff defeated Alex Howard and Tory Morton, 6-0, 6-4.
Many, many thanks to all of those who attended and helped to support the event. We had several long matches and spirited play that highlighted a wonderful weekend. The tournament was not played last year, due to damage to the courts at the Woodstock Sports Club after Hurricane Irene. New courts and a hut were just completed at the Quechee Club, so the Green Mountain tournaments are back.
