Hinsdale Women’s 2017 Results

The Hinsdale Challenge women's event was played on a beautiful brisk Chicago day. Nearly all of the Midwest's top players entered the tournament. Jane McNitt and Kelly Rohrbach notched the only upset in the quarterfinals when they ousted second seeds Hallie Bodman and Liz Hayward in a three set battle. One semifinal pitted McNitt/Rohrbach against the third seeds, Mary Doten and Chelsea Nusslock. Doten/Nusslock fought off a match point to win the match 7-6 in the third set. In the other semifinal, fourth seeded Laura Berendt and Alison Morgan squared off against the top seeds, Ania Kazakevich and Heather Prop. Berendt and Morgan were victorious in an entertaining 6-4, 7-5 win. Berendt and Morgan continued their roll through the finals, beating Doten/Nusslock 6-3, 6-2 for the title.
