Laura Berendt/Alison Morgan Prevail at Hinsdale

The Hinsdale Women’s Challenge was once again a resounding success. This one day tourney had a full draw of 32 players with a waitlist. With temperatures in the single digits to begin the day, the players were armed with toe warmers, hand warmers and lots of layers. 

As the day warmed up, so did the paddle play. Going into the semifinals the seeds held with Mary Doten and Chelsea Nusslock (3) playing Hallie Bodman and Liz Hayward (2). On the other side of the draw,  Laura Berendt and Alison Morgan (1) were pitted against Marina Ohlmuller and Sandy Cvetkovic (4). There was great play all around,  but in the end it was Bodman/Hayward to meet Berendt/Morgan in the final. 

In front of a packed paddle hut the flawless play of Berendt and Morgan prevailed 6-2, 6-0. In 5 matches this team only lost 10 games all day. They will be quite a force when Nationals come to Chicago in March!
