Janet Linehan and Thea Dolan Drown the Competition in Soggy Oden Cox

The forecast wasn’t for rain until the last minute and that’s exactly what the Oden Cox Memorial tournament received. It rained pretty much until the finals of each bracket. The Stonington COMO hut looked like an overcrowded laundromat with clothing hanging everywhere and anywhere it could.

Across the parking lot, the Stonington COMO thrift shop was the BIG winner. The gals scored with a pair of pricey Belgian loafers for around $10.00, sport bras, tee shirts, sweatshirts, monogrammed towels, and Nike leggings, to replace their soaked garb. The shopping spree made the tournament quite special.

Janet Linehan and Thea Dolan came home with the top prize money and B Ranking points. The beautiful Stonington COMO facility looked even nicer with the addition this past summer of the two new courts. Thanks to all the participants!
