Linda Brenske and Kelly Canniff Peak at Pioneer Valley

The 11th Annual APTA Pioneer Valley Women’s tournament, hosted at the Field Club of Longmeadow, was complete with 16 teams and 32 amazing ladies. This year’s tournament was extra special because it took place on Leap Day of Leap Year 2020 (2/29/2020). The weather was perfectly chilly to start the day with cloudy, overcast skies. Snowflakes fell in the middle of the day to remind us it is still winter, but they didn’t last long and the sunshine dominated the rest of the day!

Myself and the Field Club tournament team sends a heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped to make the day a great one...from the participants, to the spectators, to the caterer and volunteers who helped prep, bake goodies, and clean up before, during, and after the tournament. A shout out to the Longmeadow Country Club for allowing us to use their courts and to Field Club members and friends Dave Applemen and Tom Kietzman for their help and support. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the women who participated!
