Delmonico-Prendergast, DeRose-Bancila Claim Rochester Open Titles

Clearly, Kerri Delmonico enjoys Fritz and Sandra Odenbach’s hospitality and their tournament, as she scored her third Rochester Open title in four years. Of course, it didn’t hurt that Delmonico brought along four-time APTA women’s national champion Cindy Prendergast.

Delmonico, from New York City, and Prendergast, of Wilmington, DE, defeated the 2013 champions Kelly Fischer and Jessica Guyaux in three sets.

The men’s portion of the tournament always draws top competitors and this year was no exception. The finals saw last year’s finalist Steve DeRose of New Jersey and his partner Chicagoan Alex Bancila take on Pittsburghers Mike Wagner and Ajay Khurana. DeRose and Bancila emerged victorious in two sets.
