The Green Mountain Men’s and Mixed Open are Back!

After Hurricane Irene washed away two courts at the Woodstock Sports Club in 2011, the Green Mountain tournaments were washed out, too. Luckily, the membership at the Quechee Club financed two new courts and a warming hut to be built in the next town (or overstreet, as they say). 

Due to be finished in September, the new facility will sit at the bottom of the Quechee Ski Area, across the street from the Quechee Clubhouse. Combining with host Norwich Racquet Club, the clubs have some of the best scenery in the Northeast. In between the Men’s Open on November 2nd and the Mixed Open on November 3rd, the superb Saturday night party is back as well. (The Women’s Open is played on October 12th – excellent leaf peeping will still be available.)
