Squashbusters Program Raises Over $300,000
December 13, 2017
North Andover, MA
The Squashbusters Paddle/Squash event was a huge success, again. North Andover Country Club hosted the platform tennis part of the program, on a truly beautiful Sunday. After some miserable weather on Saturday, it would be criminal not to mention how amazing the NACC maintenance crew was in getting the paddle courts ready. The overall event raised over $300,000, exceeding any prior year’s efforts. The paddle alone raised over $70,000. As if the Squashbusters mission needed to be any more motivating, the students in attendance were extraordinary, and provided such great tangible evidence of why there is such great support for the program. The morning pros exhibited an amazing level of play, and the afternoon group was equally enervating.
Thank you very much to Scott Staniar and the Squashbuster leaders, to the kids, who happen to find an open court to bang around the ball while the Pro-AM was wrapping up, to Tim Stonecipher (NACC pro), and to all of the pros who contributed their time. The generosity of all involved is appreciated.
