Philly Jr. Open Scores a Perfect 100

December 17, 2015
Philadelphia, PA

One-hundred kids came out to compete in the Philadelphia Junior Open in a multi-sited tournament hosted by Aronimink, Waynesborough, Overbrook, and Radley Run. The Philadelphia area had an incredibly strong showing bringing 90 of the 100 kids, with 40 of the area kids coming from Radley Run.

We love to see the game growing in new clubs as well as seeing the next generation compete at an incredibly high level. Thank you to the countless volunteers who helped make the tournament a great success. Two hut commanders in each location helped serve the pizza, wings, sandwiches, and, of course, our amazing Tastykakes.

A big thank you to Tastykake for providing incredible snacks for the kids before, during – yes, that happens – and after the matches. We’ll look forward to seeing everyone back for the Paddle Battle, which will be held on January 24 at Radley Run and Kennett.
