Helen Garrett and Sandy Simmers Blaze through the APTA 70+ Nationals

The first National title of the season was held this past weekend in Connecticut.
Helen Garrett and Sandy Simmers repeated as champions, winning over Anne Beatty and Gail Moskow, 6-1, 6-1. In a feat just short of Serena Williams, those were the only two games they dropped all tournament. Garrett now holds seventeen National titles, and Simmers has nine.
