Garrett & Simmers Take 1st APTA National Championship of the Season

It was a gorgeous day for the first APTA National Championship of the season and the 70+ Women's event at Essex Fells Country Club saw Helen Garrett and Sandy Simmers come out victorious after a great match against Finalists Ginny Sniatkowki and Thelma Huber (2012 Runner's Up). Consolation Finailists were Hope Kerr who partnered with Marie Minnick, and Consolation winners Carolyn Tierney who partnered with Deny Rawding.

Congratulations to Helen and Sandy on their Three Peat!

Thanks to Carolyn Tierney who for the second year in a row battled to get enough teams to make this a National Championship. Helen Garrett has won 18 senior titles and Sandy Simmers 10.  Impressive women staying fierce out on the courts.  Congratulations to all!
