Heather Mahan and Sage Shanley Win CT Shoreline Women's B

On a beautiful first Saturday of December, the 2016 CT Shoreline Women’s “B” was held at Essex Platform Tennis Club in Essex CT. The competition was strong and the matches were long and close.

In the end the team of Heather Mahan and Sage Shanley were victorious in the Main Draw final over the EPTC team of Sally Riggio and Jen Bauman. It was the first paddle tournament Sage had ever played and she teamed very well with Heather to win in straight sets. In the Consolation bracket, Holly Stowe and Nancy Nunes defeated Hilary Meyers and Leslie Haskins in a three set battle. The Consolation Reprieve bracket was won by Diana Fiske and Sarah Clunan over the team of Tobin/Fuller.

Thanks to Old Lyme Country Club for the use of their courts and Olive Oyl’s Deli for providing lunch. Finally, thanks to my co-chair Kristy White and my husband John for all their help in making the tourney a success. See you next year!
