Karen Crick and Nan Miller Repeat Victory in Charlotte

Olde Providence Racquet Club welcomed eight teams for the fourth annual Olde Providence Women’s Paddle Classic. The field featured seven local teams and one team from Atlanta. For the third straight paddle tournament in Charlotte it rained on and off all tournament long. Of course, the hardest rain fell during the finals and the third place match with the sun finally coming out after the matches had finished.

In the final, Karen Crick and Nan Miller defended their title by defeating fellow OP members Kristin Davin and Debbie Miller, 6-2, 6-1. Despite the rain, support for the tournament from the OP paddle community was great as usual. Tournament Director Zen Mottershead would like to thank all the players for another great tournament and for braving the elements.
