Adams and Pogonyi Win Wilmington Way Way Way Over 50

The 15th annual Wilmington Way Way Way Over 50 Tournament was held on Saturday, December 10, at the Greenville Country Club and the Wilmington Country Club. The weather was cold and dry, perfect for paddle. For the first time, a full draw of 16 teams entered and 15 different paddle clubs were represented. Teams came from Manhattan, Englewood (New Jersey), Baltimore, and York. Lonnie Adams and Andrew Pogonyi defeated Mark Carson and Jerry Beirne in a highly entertaining final. The third-set tie breaker was 12-10. In fact, all of the finals were close.
A special thanks to Maggie Snyder and Jimmy Mathis for being hut captains and for helping their Dad (Maggie) and Boss (Jimmy) run another successful tournament.
