Marino, Uihlein, Gambino, Mansager, Bondurant, Johnson, Berka, Eberly, English, Heil. This is not exactly the cast of characters you'd expect in a brand new tournament. But it's a testament to the Chicago talent pool that Hinsdale's first ranking tournament brought out these players. And that's not counting the strength of the rest of the draw.

Plaftorm tennis has been exploding in Hinsdale, which is turning the corner from being the western frontier in Chicago's paddle scene to being a formidable center of play. We all look forward to seeing who turns out for the first Women's Hinsdale Challenge, which is coming up February 20th.
