2019 Hinsdale Women2019 Hinsdale Women's Challenge Final Results (pdf)

The Hinsdale Challenge arrived just as the weather offered a welcome respite after the two days of -24 degrees in the Chicago area. The eight degrees at start felt balmy to most and all were happy to be out of their houses and playing paddle.

The match of the day came in the semifinals when Chelsea Nusslock and Alexis Prousis faced the top seeds, Alison Morgan and Mirian Warner. After several momentum swings, Morgan and Warner prevailed, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5. In the other semifinal, the second seeds, Hallie Bodman and Liz Hayward, prevailed over Chris Maglocci and Marina Ohlmuller, 6-3, 6-1. Morgan/Warner took the final easily over Bodman/Hayward.

In back draw action, Mary Doten/Shawna Zsinko won the Quarterfinal Reprieve beating Carole Gatsch/Svetlana Schroeder, 6-3, 6-0. The Reprieve final was a battle of Hinsdale Park District teammates. Courtney Hughes/Stephanie Turner were victorious over Nancy Gaspadarek/Gwen Pontikes, 6-4, 6-2. The Consolation final winners were Stephanie Foster/Laura Noble, and Irene Benedict/Brooke Timmerman took the Consolation Reprieve title.
