Final Draw

On an unseasonably warm day, with sun, drizzle, and downpours, 12 teams played all day at Newport Country Club (and a quick hit at Conanicut Yacht Club, which is undergoing hut renovation). Rhode Islanders Mardie Corcoran and Meg Myles swept through three matches, capturing the title. Spectators enjoyed the beverages provided, including Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale, as did some of the back draw contestants. Thank you to Jacques Faulise, Alyce Dwyer, and Meg Myles for running a wonderful, candy-filled tournament.
