SIS Fundraiser in Rochester Raised Over $28,000

The 8th annual Ladies SIS Charity Tournament took place in Rochester, New York, in January, with over 100 teams in attendance. The levels range from open to beginner to mixed ability. The format puts teams of like ability in the same level so every match is a good match.

Playing platform tennis is just one of the draws to this tournament—everyone is guaranteed three matches. The lunch, dinner, and ongoing party, all for a great cause, are favorites of the Region IV players and guests.

The Chinese raffle with 100-plus prizes offered raised over $10,000 in additional revenue to help those battling breast cancer. The slideshow, created by Kathe Kilmer, shows the dedication to the SIS charity and the non-ending enthusiasm for the event. Thanks to Lisa Hayes and all of the organizers, volunteers, and participants for a fabulous event.
