Dardis & Shay, Broderick & DeRose Top Their Draws at Long Island

In the Long Island Invitational Women's Open, Cynthia Dardis and Amy Shay defeated Ana Brzova and Viktoria Stoklasova in a 3+ hour, 3 set final, emerging victorious 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. This was the 4th time these teams have met in an NRT final this year, with Bzova-Stoklasova having won the 3 prior meetings. Congratulations to Dardis & Shay for breaking through and narrowing the gap.

In the Duane L. Hayden Men's Open, Drew Broderick and Steve DeRose bested Juan Arraya and Jon Lubow, 6-4, 6-2 for the title. This was a particularly interesting match up because DeRose and Lubow have an long and successful partnership with each other: and here they were on opposite sides of the net in this final.
