A postponed Maryland States due to the wonderful snow out was played this past weekend at the Baltimore Country Club and surrounding clubs. With beautiful paddle weather and wonderful hospitality, the tournament pulled together some solid play throughout the day.

With many tight matches in the early rounds, the semifinals featured Andrew Sorrentino and Bruce Redpath versus Tom Burt and Mike McGrath. The match ebbed back and forth, but Burt and McGrath took the battle with some exhaustive points and play. In the other half of the draw—another epic battle between old foes Mark Holtschneider and Ted Easter versus Simon Peppiatt and Greg Eger. Holtschneider and Easter looked unstoppable in the first half of the match, starting with a 6-0 thumping. But Eger and Peppiatt steadied the ship with some solid play coming back with the final two sets at 6-3, 6-1.

In the final match of the day Eger and Peppiatt continued the form from the previous match and persevered in the final, 6-3, 6-0. Thanks to BCC Pro Jay for picking up the tournament for the weekend and all those involved including the very welcoming "Boyce's". Thanks all

Finalists
(L to R) Mike McGrath, Tom Burt, Greg Eger, Simon Peppiatt
