Boston “Bomb Cyclone” does not stop DeLong and Sasner Smith from winning the New England Women’s B

Lauren DeLong and Julie Sasner Smith won the New England Women’s B tournament on October 18th at the Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. They defeated Linda Brenske and Hilary Meyers in an exciting three-set final, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

We want to thank everyone who played, especially given the North Shore of Boston had been hit by a "bomb cyclone" that set the record as strongest October storm ever in the Boston area, leaving two of the three sites for the event without power.

Thanks to Tournament Director Scott Slobin, Assistant Director Spencer Whitmire, Sue Slobin, and to North Andover Country Club and Essex County Club for the use of their paddle courts.
