Whitney Berns and Soon-ae Bushing Best at New England PTI 35+

 Sixteen teams from the South Shore, North Shore, MetroWest and Connecticut competed on Friday on a warm fall day. Rain poured during the main draw and quarterfinal reprieve finals, but the players decided that was just the right weather for three setters.

Whitney Berns and Soon-ae Bushing played well throughout the day and regrouped in the final after losing the first set to defeat Abby Harris and Nindy Pike, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. In the quarterfinal reprieve, Courtney Adams and Sandra Duryea toughed out a win over Beth Cherico and Melissa Straub, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.

Thank you to Tournament Director Scott Slobin, pro Ramon Rodriguez, the Myopia Hunt Club, Essex County Club, Manchester Athletic Club, and Cape Ann Paddle Club, and all the players who masked up and competed well.
