Derek Johnson and Doug Randall Nab the Newport Wave

The second annual Newport Wave Average Joe was well-attended, with 18 teams from as far as Albany and Long Island. The weather gods were with the men and what was to be a dismal day turned into a bright, sunny event. Congratulations to Derek Johnson and Doug Randall for a great win over Thomas Bovino and Colin Melford. The Newport Country Club and the Conanicut Yacht Club hosted. Much thanks to Tournament Director Rick Meffert, lead people Barclay Douglas at NCC and Diane Gooding at CYC, and to the support team of Woody Woodhull, Jacque Faulise, and Photographer Frank Gaj.
