PA States Draws Over 200 players

Prendergast/Williamson and Christian/Cotto Prevail

Aronimink’s Director of Racquets JC Cotto writes: The 41st Annual PA States Championship PTI Open took place this past weekend, with 208 players participating at Aronimink Golf Club and surrounding area clubs. On the women’s side, Cindy Prendergast and Jaclyn Williamson took home top honors against Bobo Delaney and Andrea Noyes, 6-3; 6-1, on Sunday’s final. This marked Cindy’s 12th PA States title and Jaclyn’s 9th.

On the men’s side, Aronimink pros JC Cotto and Tomas Christian won the title in front of the home crowd in an exciting final against Scott Falatek and Vlatko Najdek, 7-6; 3-6; 6-3.

We want to thank all the local professionals and clubs—Manufacturers’ Golf, Martins Dam, Merion Cricket, Overbrook Golf, Philly Country, Philly Cricket, and Waynesborough—for graciously donating their facilities, all the volunteers, and the food and beverage teams.
