Hilary Meyers and Daryl Bender Capture 2016 RI Mixed

The weather could not have cooperated better for the 2016 Rhode Island Mixed. With eight teams coming from New York, Connecticut, Vermont, and Rhode Island, we split into two group for round robin play in the morning. The top two teams in each group advanced to a playoff in the afternoon.

In the first semifinal, Hilary Meyers and Daryl Bender took out Meg Myles and Rob Parker, 6-2, 6-3. On the other side, Alyce Dwyer and Chris Cappello beat Ann Harvey and Peter Harvey, 6-3, 6-3. In the finals, Meyers and Bender emerged victorious over Dwyer and Cappello, 6-2, 6-4. Big thanks to the Shelter Harbor Inn and the Stonington Community Center for allowing us to use the courts.
