Anton Bobytskyi and Evan Paushter Kraken Up at Wilton Men’s Open

Flor Hanisch and Margo DeSantis Win Women’s Open

The Wilton Open, one of the largest many-leveled tournaments in the sport, had perfect weather and perfect paddle. Tournament Directors Todd Parker and Russ Kohl always put on a good party and a great event. Bagpipers opened the ceremony, and the Kraken loomed ominously in the pond near the courts.

In the Women’s Open division, Flor Hanisch and Margo DeSantis were able to hold off 2019 Nationals finalist Roxy Enica and partner Vicki Molchan, 6-4, 6-4.

In the Men’s Open division, Anton Bobytskyi and Evan Paushter took down 2019 Nationals finalist John Hughes and partner David Acselrod in two sets.

In the Men’s B, Jason Jacobs and Andrew Schwartz kept Johnny Clarizio and Carter Sherwood at bay, 6-1, 6-4. The Men’s B2 winners, Steve Hutton and Peter White, took three sets to wrap up their victory, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 against Bryant Hopper and Charles Rogers.
