Prop and Shpiz Win Winter Warrior Classic Grand Prix

The top two seeds of the Winter Warrior Classic Grand Prix met in the finals on Saturday for a three-set entertainer. In the 32-team draw, both teams, Heather Prop and Wendy Shpiz (1) and Spencer Caravaggio/Sandy Cvetkovic (2)., played four matches to get to the final. Caravaggio/Cvetkovic didn’t lose a set before their last match, while Prop/Shpiz fended off Tournament Director Chelsea Mittal and Alison Morgan in a three-set semifinal. In the final, Caravaggio/Cvetkovic came out swinging, winning 1-6, but Prop/Shpiz turned it around and captured the next two sets, 6-2, 6-3.
