Our New Look

FEBRUARY 23, 2011

This week we unveiled a new look for our web site, designed with you in mind. Our goals? Improve site navigation so you can find what you want fast. Simplify, consolidate and add more visual punch to the home page so you can get the news you want quickly see more great platform tennis pictures. Evolve "micro-sites" such as Tournaments, Juniors and the Hall of Fame into stand alone destinations. Introduce up to date design aesthetics.

We hope you like our new look and we would love to hear your feedback. Send us an email to webmaster@platformtennis.org.

Highlights

New APTA Home Page

Advanced Search

Have you ever wanted to search on multiple words or an exact phrase, rather than a single word? Click on the new "Advanced >>" link next to the search box for expanded search capabilities.

Slide Show

We added a slide show to the home page for more great pictures right up front.

Tournament & Event Information

Entry information, draws, rescheduling and other tournament specific news is consolidated below the slide show for quick access without scrolling through lots of unrelated information.

Big Footer

The new footer, which appears on every page, has helpful links for pages of special interest. Check here first if you're not sure where to find something.

News & Announcements Column

It's the familiar column in the same location, but we've consolidated news, features, videos, etc., into one place to make it easier to scan for what you want.

APTA Web Site Redesign

Micro-Sites

We've enhanced the specialized sections of the web site to make them more informative, more distinctive and easier to use.

Are you a tournament junkie? Go directly to the Tournaments page for everything you care about. Are you a junior or a parent of a junior? Your source is the Juniors page. Tournament director? History buff? We have pages for people interested in all aspects of platform tennis.

We will continue to enhance these sections and to add more useful and informative content, so be sure to check back periodically to see what's new.

And more...

There's more, but you'd probably prefer to use the site rather than read about it, so please take your own journey through www.platformtennis.org.
