Tip of the day for beating a big returner: Play two back. Have the server’s partner play on his/her usual side on the baseline.
“There is no honor lost in staying back,” says Marina Ohlmuller, “but there is honor lost if we constantly get burned by a strong returner and don't make adjustments.”
