APTA League News and Notes

For many of the APTA leagues around the country, January marks the season’s halfway point. As the new year begins, here is a look at news and results from various leagues. Greater Boston Platform Tennis League Division leaders:
A+ The Country Club
A- Eastern Yacht Club
B+ Concord
B- Winchester
C The Country Club
The two tightest races in the MAPTA ladies league are in Cup 1 and Cup 3, with only one point separating the top two teams.
Cup 1 Waynesborough White leads Philadelphia Cricket
Cup 3 Wallingford leads Martins Dam
In the MAPTA men’s league, the tightest race for the top spot is in division 4, where Manufacturers 1 leads Philadelphia Country 2 by only a single point.
The Long Island Platform Tennis League has tight races at the top of two of its seven divisions.
Division 3-Cherry Valley Club leads Crest Hollow Country Club by two points.
Division 5- Garden City Country Club tops the Creek/Piping Rock Country Club by 2.
The Kansas City league capped its fall individual season with Scot Symon awarded King of the Hill and Zach Frisch winning MVP. They play a team format for the second half of their season.
The Peachtree Paddle League began its inaugural season last week, with both men’s and women’s teams competing in Atlanta for the first time.
