Pittsburgh, PA
Carol Kimmelman, an avid paddle tennis and tennis player, passed away after a very long fight against cancer. Carol was a frequent participant in the women’s and mixed national tournaments and many New Jersey events. She was proud of winning Mixed NJ States with Steve DeRose. Bobo Delaney said, “She was a great friend and teammate of mine at the Morristown Field Club in both sports for many years."
Carol a great deal of time in the Los Angeles area, and devoted her energy to kids in need, as well as with the USTA Foundation. It was her dream to bring tennis to children like those she taught. The Carol Richardson Kimmelman Tennis Center will bring this dream to fruition. Donations can be made to the USTA Foundation Incorporated, at The Carol Kimmelman Fund, 70 West Red Oak Lane, White Plains, NY 10604 or made online at www.USTAFoundation.com.
