The APTA, and especially the HOF family was saddened to learn of the passing of Bradley Drowne in October. He was 92 years old.

Bradley attended The Hill School and then graduated from Princeton University in 1953. Professionally he was a private investor.

Bradley was an avid tennis and platform tennis player. He won four APTA National Championships (Men’s 1968, Mixed 1969 & 1974, Men’s 45+ 1973). And he was inducted into our Hall of Fame in 1995.

In addition to his accomplishments on the court, Brad also served as the APTA National Tournament director for many years (mid and late 1970s) - and pioneered the rankings system employed today. The system involved points for performance and tournament weightings. Bradley was a fixture at all national and ranking Events in those years tabulating results. The APTA was fortunate to have him at the helm with his leadership and imagination during those years of growth!

The whole APTA family sends their condolences to his family and friends.
