Meet Nindy Pike
NOVEMBER 9, 2011
Here at the APTA, it’s all about teamwork.
We are proud to announce that Nindy Pike of Haverhill, Massachusetts, has joined our team as Associate Editor/Writer.
This new part-time position has been created because of the steady growth of platform tennis and the increased need for APTA member communication. Pike was chosen from more than 50 qualified applicants from across the country.
She has had significant publishing experience in writing, editing, and production. To this position, she brings a sense of humor, a passion for the sport, and impressive professional and educational credentials, which include an M.A. in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College.
Not only will she be working closely with Executive Director Ann Sheedy and Web Publisher Isabel Cabanne, but also with the entire board of directors to seek out news stories and creative avenues to promote platform tennis. “I’m looking forward to being part of the APTA team and getting involved in the dynamic platform tennis community,” Pike commented.
Pike learned to play paddle at Martin’s Dam outside of Philadelphia and now plays at the Gilfoy Platform Tennis Club in Billerica, Massachusetts. We are thrilled to have her as a teammate.
