       The Short Hills Club is in search of a Full-Time Assistant Racquets Professional to join the professional staff.  The position will start on August 1, 2018 but there is some flexibility.  Established in 1875, Short Hills Club is located in Northern New Jersey and is one of the oldest Racquet clubs in the United States.  The club features 7 New Hydro Tennis Courts, 5 Platform Tennis Courts, 2 International Squash Courts, Swimming Pool, and Dining facilities.

     The candidate should possess 2+ years of teaching experience at a country club facility.  USPTA/USPTR certification is a must, with Platform Tennis and/or Squash certification will be helpful.  Playing level should be 5.0 or higher for Tennis, Platform Tennis, or Squash and be willing to improve in the sports that do not meet that level.  The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, hard work ethic, be organized, motivated, have excellent attention to detail, dependable, works well with others, and provides excellent member service.

     Duties will include, but are not limited to:teaching clinics and private lessons to players of all ages and ability levels, assisting in men's and women's team practices, assisting with club events and tournaments, pro shop merchandising, racquet stringing, and competing for club teams.  This position will be for 6 days per week during the peak seasons and the Assistant will report directly to the Head Racquets Professional.  This is a great opportunity to build a career as a future Head Professional.

     Compensation package will include a base salary, clinic and lesson revenue as well as medical insurance, paid vacation, 401K, and meals while on duty at the club.
