Thank you for sending the slightly used junior platform tennis paddles our way in Cleveland. You can see by the picture that they were put to good use and the players enjoyed the opportunity to use the paddles.
With the extra paddles, students from University School attended an eight-week session at the Shaker Heights Country Club, learning the basics of platform tennis, tolerating the cold, and enjoying the warming hut with hot chocolate, ReddiWip and Oreo’s. The article in Platform Tennis Magazine (April 2012), “Platform Tennis; An Educator’s Perspective,” by Tim Kent, gave reason for the administrators, teachers, and parents to try this program. Thanks again to the American Platform Tennis Association—Grow the Game at its best!
