Atlanta begins the season with five more platform tennis courts than it had last year, giving it a total of 14. One of the new additions is a private court, a second is semi-private, located at a swim club in East Cobb, and constructed by Mark Morneau & Bob Stratton.

The remaining three new courts are public and were constructed along with a warming hut at the famous Atlanta tennis venue Bitsy Grant. This effort was spearheaded by APTA board member Freddy Goldenberg and assisted by an APTA grant.
