2007 Hall of Fame Inductee - Gloria Dodd

The APTA sends our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Gloria Dillenbeck Dodd. She was a Renaissance woman, deeply talented in dance and tennis, graduating from Swarthmore College in 1947, and entering the world of sports marketing for NHL Hockey and Coca-Cola. She found great success in paddle tennis, winning the Women’s National Championship three times in succession, from 1971-1973 (with B.J. Debree), and then serving the game as the first Executive Director of the APTA from 1975-1981. A legend of the game—Rest in Peace Gloria.
