Max LePivert and Michael Montalbano Soar at Shoreline PCQ

The Essex Platform Tennis Club hosted the Shoreline PCQ Tournament early in February. Sixteen teams competed for the championship with Max LePivert and Mike Montalbano defeating Johan du Randt and Matt Doody in the tightly contested final.

LePivert and Montalbano also took out Mark Parsons and Mark Fischl in the semi-final, making them 2-0 on the day against the defending National Champions. In the other semifinal, du Randt and Doody defeated second seed Nick Mazzarese and John Hughes. Mike Fried and Mike McManus won the Quarterfinal Reprieve, Mark Innes and Mik Irdoja won the Consolation, and Dan Nash and Brad Hoffman won the Consolation Reprieve.

Thanks to the Old Lyme Country Club and the Guilford Racquet and Swim Club for opening up their courts. Also, thanks to everyone who played and all of the spectators who came out and watched some of the best paddle ever played at the EPTC. Hope to see all of you again next year.
