In perfect paddle weather Kelly Fischer and Jessica Guyaux defeated Janet Mazzola and Ann Turner in a final that duplicated the recent Cleveland Masters finals.

Final Draw

Fifty four teams played at 4 clubs in the Sewickley area. The beautiful new paddle “campus” at the Sewickley YMCA was tournament headquarters for the first time ever.

In the battle for 3rd place, Lisa Dollard and Jen Giunta prevailed over Christine Johnston and Lynn Thompson. Quarter Final Reprieve Winners were WPPTA President Jenny Kelly and Sherri Wilson defeating Sandy Kozel and Melissa King. The 16 Reprieve was won by Janet DeCostro and Chris Ford over newcomers Amy Baron and Kelsey Friday who had engineered several upsets on their way to the finals of the 16 Reprieve. 32 Reprieve winners were Nellie Krauss and Nathalie Lemieux over Edgeworth teammates Laurel Echavarria and Betsy Joseph. The Consolation was won by a team from Cleveland Marian Lauer and Nan Miller who defeated Colleen Geyer and Patty Gaus. Nicole Kriebel and Susie Keller defeated Jyll Lilly and Debbie Rossman in Last Chance
