Joanna Bowen and Susan Thomas Win First OP Women’s Classic

After rescheduling the original date due to an ice storm, Olde Providence Racquet Club welcomed 11 teams for the inaugural OP Ladies Paddle Classic.

The strong field featured teams from Charlottesville, Atlanta, and eight teams from OPRC. In the finals, Joanna Bowen and Susan Thomas defeated Chris Ford and Kim Watt, 6-1, 6-3.

Support for the tournament from the OPRC membership was outstanding with large crowds watching most of the day. Tournament Director Zen Mottershead would like to thank all the players and sponsors (Jennifer Barbin & Sotheby’s International Reality and Wilson Racquet Sports) for a great tournament.
