Slutzky/Schwab Reign in Denver

In their first tournament together, Michael Slutzky and Jay Schwab gained strength as the day progressed. After a close first set in their first match, Slutzky/Schwab flew through the semis 6-1, 6-0 and cruised in the final 6-3, 6-1 over Tom Houlihan and Claire Joyce. Joyce was a last minute fill-in for a sick John Fasullo. Patrick Vahey and tournament director, Cary Hodges, finished 3rd taking Brock Borman and Ian Hintz 6-4, 6-4.

In the A/B draw, the brother combo of Nick and Will Morris survived a topsy turvy final with the very experienced team of John Speer and Dave Romberg 6-1, 5-7, 6-1. Peter Dinneen and John Moore placed third over John Stegner and Steve Filmer 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
