The 2010 Delaware Open, the season opening Region III Men’s PCQ event, was hosted once again by Greenville Country Club and their fine staff. This event brought some of the best teams in Delaware, Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore and even Virginia together to do battle. Tommy Croker and Huntley Montgomery (from VA) were seeded as the team to beat, and they proved equal to their top billing, using power, finesse, and athleticism to best the strong field. The boys from the south did not drop a single set on their way to winning their first Delaware Open.

For the second year, Andrew (Quickhands) Hocker and Steve (Speed of Foot) Reiniger reached the final after defeating Todd (The Tenacious) Marvin and Scott (The Commish) Falatek in the match of the tournament---a 6-7, 7-5, 6-3 epic three hour blood and guts war!! In the other semi-final, Simon (The Promoter) Peppiatt and Greg (The Face) Eger played Montgomery and Croker and in spite of a competitive 2nd set, the southern team came out on top.

In 5th place, the new southern team of Juwan Jaysingh and Alex Hume defeated another new Philly team to watch---Steve Beers and Patrick Nowlan in another 3 setter...

With many new local teams participating, our local sponsor David Dietz (BBC Tavern and Grill) offered some great prizes for the back draws with local teams McAndrew/Banta defeating Ron Pinsky/Brian Aguilar in the 32 Reprieve…and Aaron Ribchinsky/David Taylor defeating Dittmer/Hineman (Kennett CC) in the "Gut Bucket" reprieve.
