Tommy Croker and Alex Hume Repeat at Delaware States

A great day of weather, camaraderie, and great paddle was witnessed in Delaware this past Saturday. The usual suspects were doing battle in one of Region III’s toughest tournaments, the Delaware States Men’s NRT/Viking PCQ. The spirit of the sport and the great friendships were in full display for the day. Ultimately, we had two champions on the day.

In the Men’s Open, Tommy Croker and Alex Hume were in full-season form, not dropping a set all day. They defeated Vladko Najdek and Scott Falatek, who also did not drop a set until the finals.

In the Men’s 45s, Chris Avayou and Evan Niemkiewicz defeated Lonnie Adams and Bob Collins in the final. Avayou/Niemkiewicz played a solid day of paddle and deserved the trophy.

All in all, a great day! Thank you to Greenville Country Club, Wilmington Country Club, and volunteers Teresa Bosse, Lee Garrett, and Peter Lieberman. Cheers and see you all soon.
